First of Many

Ok, so I am going to try and do this blog thing. Especially since Jon is leaving in about 4 months and we have family outside of Jacksonville. Christmas was a blast! Jack loved playing with all of his new toys. My mom got him this awesome rocking horse made by Radio Flyer. Jon got me a new camera for Christmas - well it was about 2 weeks ago. I had it 2 weeks and dropped it on Christmas Eve coming in the door from my aunt's house. Needless to say I had to go Friday and buy a new one. I got Jon a new wedding band from Jack and I for when he leaves. Work is beginning to slow down until the end of January - beginning of February - that is when Pastors' Conference starts. Jon has drill for about a week the first week of February. In March, he leaves for a month and then returns toward the end of April. I can't believe it is getting so close. We are beginning to try and prepare Jack and also trying to begin to pack all of the things that Jon will need (like 5 bags). This week looks to be a quiet one. Sunday afternoon, Jon and I are having some very special family pictures taken thanks to a program called Operation:Love Reunited. It is a program for deploying, deployed, and returning soldiers to have some great professional pictures taken for them and their families. We are looking forward to it and I can't wait to share the pictures with everyone.
